Okay. Powweb can’t transfer my website automatically to their new platform and I am really fed-up with the process of manually checking everything myself.

In light of this (plus other factors), I decided to move my domain and website to a Canadian web hosting service early next week. That means my blog will be down for a while. Sorry for the inconvenience.

This also means that I will not update my blog until I successfully moved the site.

So, if there is anything you would like to download, please do so before Sunday (unless you don’t mind to wait for a few weeks of tuning and fine-tuning).

I just learned from Scot McKnight that the great New Testament scholar Leon Morris passed away Monday afternoon in Melbourne at the age of 92. Here is his obiturary.

It just happened that I have been reading his commentary on John (NICNT) and his Reflections on the 4th Gospel for the last few days while preparing my sermon on Mary Magdalene.

Quoting from the obiturary: “Morris was well known for his humble manner and gracious Christian character. He leaves a vast legacy of theologically equipped ministers throughout the world upholding biblical Christian faith centred on the atoning death of Jesus Christ.”

Such a humble man, such a great Christian.

We took some time last Sunday and went to take a family photo. So here it is — my family.

(Sorry, mom and dad, I don’t mean to bump you guys to the back. But you know your granddaughter….)

聖經中充滿了文學上所謂的「交叉」（chiasmus 或稱「倒影」）結構。簡單來說，是一對引用語的前後句的用詞交錯配列。

例如：

詩篇137.5-6—

A　 耶路撒冷啊，我若忘記你，
　　　　B  情願我的右手忘記技巧！
　　　　B’ 情願我的舌頭貼於上膛！
A’　我若不記念你。

另外，

馬太7.6—

A 　不要把聖物給狗。
　　　　B　 也不要把你們的珍珠丟在豬前，
　　　　B’　恐怕它踐踏了珍珠，
A’ 　轉過來咬你們。

事實上，交叉結構並非如此高深的文學寫作手法，以下的一段對話…

A 「陳太，等你開擡呀，快來罷！」
　　B 「我想帶個朋友來，可以嗎？」
　　　　C 「哎喲，男定女先？」
　　　　　　D 「有關係咩？」
　　　　　　　　E 「要平衡o架嘛，
　　　　　　D' 梗係有關係！」
　　　　C‘ 「男人嚟o架…」
　　B’ 「咁你帶你朋友來啦！」
A’ 「我地依家嚟緊，好快！」 

正是另一個交叉結構的例子。而（E）就正是對話的核心句，這是對話中最重要的關鍵。解決了這個關注，之前累積的張力就可以像倒影一般，逐個有了自然的答案。

Wow, seems like everybody is at St. Andrew’s this week for the "The Epistle to the Hebrews and Christian Theology" conference. BW3, Hays, Webster, Bockmuehl, Marshall, you name it — and of course, Richard Bauckham (whom we learn from BW3 recently that he will retire soon, how sad).
