是生死的抉擇

馬太福音7:13-29

原來人可以大聲疾呼稱呼「主啊,主啊!」卻不代表甚麼,除非我們也真正在跟隨這位主。更叫我們意想不到的,是耶穌所指的跟隨,跟事奉上的經驗和恩賜能力大少沒有甚麼關係。對祂來說:稱呼耶穌為「主啊,主啊」的人;那些滿有能力,奉主的名呼風喚雨的人,一樣可以被祂視為「作惡的」,耶穌不認識他們,並且要被神趕去。

對我們來說,或者可能很難想象那些有屬靈的能力到可以「奉神的名傳道、趕鬼、行異能」的人耶穌會不認識他們?!但聖經裡豈不是滿了這些例子嗎?出買耶穌的猶大不也曾和其他門徒一樣,曾經趕鬼傳道嗎?在使徒行傳裡,想用錢買使徒的能力那個西門,不也曾被稱為「神的大能者」,叫撒馬利亞的百姓驚奇(徒8.9-20)?!

但耶穌卻不在意超自然的恩賜和能力。相反祂注意的因著憐憫和同情的那份慷慨施予之情。

Since, therefore, it is solely by expending himself that the Lord gives us these benefits to enjoy, he bestows both of them at the same time, the one never without the other. Thus it is clear how true it is that we are justified not without works yet not through works, since in our sharing in Christ, which justifies us, sanctification is just as much included as righteousness.
