I don’t know about yours, but for some reason, the plugin does not work on my blog (and some others). If it is not working in yours, try use the widget version instead:

Oh, it works perfectly fine. Or are you talking about the photo not showing up in your RSS feeds?
Earlier on, I noticed that wordpress’s WYSIWYG editor will strip away the embed tags, such that my youtube embeds do not show up in my RSS feed. I ended up having to install the “Smart Youtube” plugin to shorthand the youtube links, then it started working again. It’s a known bug of WordPress 2.7.
