Yahoo!

  5. 在Terminal,輸入以下指令:/Library/Input\ Methods/Yahoo\!\ KeyKey.app/Contents/SharedSupport/CinInstaller.app/Contents/MacOS/CinInstaller your_canton_input.cin

在Compose at each keystroke 旁,打上剔號。

keykey_capture01

雖說為Tiger跟Leopard版的OV,但在Snow Leopard安上,so far so good。

Mac typing annoyance

Ever since I switch to macbook, I have this occasional problem — When I am typing a email, or a word document or something — when I am typing, sometimes my cursor will move all of a sudden to a completely different line and place, I have absolutely no idea why this is happening.

It does not matter if I am using Thunderbird, MS Word or other programs. And it does not matter I am typing English or inputting Chinese through openVanilla or other input methods. And it does not matter I am using the macbook keyboard or my bluetooth keyboard…

Anyone has any idea why?

[This happened also when I was typing this email! The blinking cusor all of a sudden move 3-4 lines up (and in the middle of a word) when I was typing...]

Did I hit a shortcut key or something by accident, you think?

10.6 and OpenVanilla

If you happen to be using the new Snow Leopard (10.6) and OpenVanilla to input non-English characters, you might encounter a problem when you are at the login screen under OpenVanilla mode — you can’t type anything and you can’t switch to English input mode either. What do you do?

For the time being, there is no fix yet. But bear in mind that you can enter your password with the Caps Lock key on.

St. John’s channel

St John’s Nottingham has a youtube channel featuring world-class biblical scholars like Bauckham, Thiselton, Dunn, Wright, Hurtado, Stanton, Burridge and others, talking about Ricoeur, the kingdom of God, the divinity of Jesus, the Gospels and eyewitnesses, the Gospel of John…

Enjoy!

Timeout

A lot to do in the coming few weeks, thus blogging will be sparse in the next little while.

And let me leave you with Jocelyn’s new found favorite, and my long-time singing inspiration since high-school — Bobdy McFerrin:

And of course, his Bach/Gounod’s Ave Maria:

Which he once recorded with Yo Yo Ma.

NTS: PocketMod

The PocketMod is a new way to keep yourself organized. Lets face it, PDAs are too expensive and cumbersome, and organizers are bulky and hard to carry around. Nothing beats a folded up piece of paper. That is until now. With the PocketMod, you can carry around the days notes, keep them organized in any way you wish, then easily transfer the notes to your PDA, spreadsheet, or planner. The PocketMod is a small book with guides on each page. These guides or templates, combined with a unique folding style, enable a normal piece of paper to become the ultimate note card. It is hard to describe just how incredibly useful the PocketMod is. It’s best that you just dive in and create one.

Build a PocketMod now!

Be an accountable Christian

Guys, you know who you are.

We are so easily aroused sexually when explicit videos and images are just a click of a mouse away.

We don’t talk about it at church or fellowship, because don’t want to talk about it.

We don’t wanna talk about it, because we don’t see what we can do about it.

Yet we have seen how the world is twisted around us due to such uncontrollable desire.

We need to do something about it.

We need to act now.

I challenge you to keep your online presence accountable among fellow brothers whom you trust.

Go to x3watch.com and download their free apps. It will then keep a log of all the sites you visited and then email a report to your accountability partners (2) in a frequency you preferred (1,2 or every 4 weeks).

Nothing fancy. Just a report of all questionable sites and links to friend(s) you hold accountable for.

Yes, for IT genius like yourself, the apps can be easily stopped or disabled.

But you know whom you are deceiving –

Nobody,

just yourself.

Let me know if you want me to be your accountability partner. I will be asking 2 of you to do the same for me.

A community that really concern about the real you,

the one nobody is watching.

Do you want to be a part of this?
