AVG expiring…
With AVG 7.1 free version expiring in Jan (7.5 still available for free), I am looking for free (and legal) anti-virus program and software firewall.
My sister recommends Comodo. Anybody use it before? Seems quite decent, and guarantee no renewal and update fee ever! Sounds good to me.
How about you?

I’ve been using ClamWin ever since my NortonAV expired a couple years ago. I heard that the ClamWin virus database is as good as (or sometimes better than) the NAV database (i.e. very updated!!).

Is there any reason why you want to switch from AVG? Is it no longer free?

No, I think it is still free, the problem seems that once in a while, it asks you to re-download (not update) the application all over again — which to me is really annoying.
