Notebook

Well, I have been using the BlueLine A19 notebooks for years. And don’t get me wrong, I will continue to use them. But it is time for me to enter the mobile world and have a notebook computer as well. I thought about the Apple iBook for a while, but let’s face it, unless I don’t have to share information with anybody else, otherwise a Windows based system is what I am stuck with it.

But while I can’t subvert the Windows empire, I am happy to at least be able to choose an AMD Turion based machine. It is the HP L2105CA with AMD Turion 64 ML-32. This is the Lance Armstrong edition (ie. the steroid version of Compaq V2570 which L2 cache, RAM and HD upgraded). I don’t have it yet. It is still shipping from Bestbuy (that’s another story…..)

Come to think of it. I find it very interesting since for all these years working as a programmer, I can avoid having a notebook. I was given a blackberry from work and I hated it. Now, I left the IT world, but only to find myself purchasing a notebook. Isn’t that ironic?

Have you watched Steve Jobs’ recent keynote though? In terms of software (sharing information, multimedia experience), they are so much ahead of others in the industry. iLife & iWork are just what softwares should work like.

  2. I did. But unfortunately, not many people in the world have watched it and they are still using their windows-based machine. So in order to work with them, I have no choice but to do the same.
