I am thinking of these in the past few days…This is a good way to start our path to imitate Jesus.

In reality, we need to have different ingredients to act out these things…

It is easy to talk to our non-Christian friend, but how can we witness Him in a friendly way, but still stand firm for our “principal”. (Plus not hard selling.)

There are tones of volunteer jobs out there, but are we giving ourselves too much excuses for choosing the “right” one and may be still struggling in the planning process.

I think to live in a Simple Missional Live is the essential for every reborn Christian, because this is why we had been called for. Haha…I am glad that these suggestion didn’t include any Church ministries.

  2. Most church ministries function as 1) helping those who are already Christians, and 2) helping those who are not. For 2), our mentality has been organizing events and programs for those to “join in”. This kind of “join-us” objective is, at best, just part of the story. If there is any significant in Jesus’ commissioning found in the gospels, it is the fact that we are called to “get out” (or go out) and “join them” instead. The apostles are the “sent out ones”.

We are called, gathered, in order to get out.

See the next post “from church-starters to movement starters”. It is talking about exactly that.

Out from nowhere…my tone sounds like a whiner…haha…

Too subjective on some topics…should think twice before I made any commend…my bad!

  4. The Forgotten Ways: Reactivating the Missional Church

Ever heard of this book? It is recommended by my teacher on mission-oriented church.

  5. Um…. since when are you telepathic? I was looking at some recommendations on this book just this morning….

  6. And I’m writing you this comment in class when my professor had the slide on quoting something from this book.

I’m surely not telepathic. I guess it’s just the Holy Spirit working in mysterious ways =)

  7. Btw, my professor Krish Kandiah interviewed Alan Hirsch in this podcast. Check it out:
