Moving to the new hosting company has been a pain all along. The new site has such limited support and many of the extended modules in php are not even available. Not to mention the countless database disconnections…. lots of people complain to me about my blog not available or missing the sidebar frequently.

And because of the move, I was able to clean up all things in my old powweb account and start anew (vs. the endless migration process). So since now everything is running fine at powweb. I have switched back!

Sorry, Powweb, I was wrong…… please accept me back. 

Things are more or less back to normal. Well, I guess “normal” as in “working”. There are still a few things in the backend that needs to be ironed out, but as for all readers, you should be able to read and comment with no problem.

Having said that, please pay attention to a few changes….

The new rss subscription is:

Whereas the comments rss is now:
http://edmund.becoming.ca/?feed=comments-rss2

The “pretty permalink” is not working with the new host. All permalinks are now in the format of :
http://edmund.becoming.ca/?p=x

Where x is the post ID.

The site has been moved. However, it will take a while to cleanup all the bugs and settings errors. Thanks for your patence.

Okay. Powweb can’t transfer my website automatically to their new platform and I am really fed-up with the process of manually checking everything myself.

In light of this (plus other factors), I decided to move my domain and website to a Canadian web hosting service early next week. That means my blog will be down for a while. Sorry for the inconvenience.

This also means that I will not update my blog until I successfully moved the site.

So, if there is anything you would like to download, please do so before Sunday (unless you don’t mind to wait for a few weeks of tuning and fine-tuning).
